Connecting Hosting to your Domain
Your hosting and domain need to connected in order for your website to display online.
Essentially all your files and data sit with your hosting provider and your domain points to the hosting using the Domain Name Server (DNS).
If you bought the hosting and domain from the same provider this should already be done. If you bought them from separate places, which is very common, you will need to as your hosting provider for the DNS records. You should then be able to add the DNS records to your domain (or ask the domain provider to do this).
